Augusta Youth Chorale

About Us

The Augusta Youth Chorale is:

  1. A choral ensemble organized as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) in 2009 and designed to provide talented young singers in the greater Augusta area with an outstanding (and enjoyable) experience in the choral art

  2. A mixed choir committed to excellent performance of great music from all eras

  3. A distinctively Christian organization undergirded by the belief that music is a gift from God to be used for His glory.

Who is eligible to participate?
Any resident of the greater Augusta area between the ages of 13 and 19, who has a desire to sing great music with excellence!

How much does it cost?
Surprisingly little! Tuition for this season is only $180. One can make payments either of three ways: at one time ($180), twice a year ($90 ea.), or once a month ($20 mo.). Some scholarship funds may be available upon request – we don’t want anyone to miss out because of financial need.
From time to time we will hold fundraising events: a dessert concert, a flower sale, doughnut sales, and things like that in order to raise tour funds and maintain our low tuition costs. Please contact the Director if there are financial challenges handling tuition. The AYC will not turn away any qualified singer due to lack of funds!

When and where are the rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary Choir Loft at Christ Church, Presbyterian (4201 Southern Pines Drive, Evans, GA) on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. Rehearsal usually ends at 5:30, followed by some free time and refreshments. Our season runs roughly concurrent with the local school year. Tours are usually early June.
